IPC2723 Clock Recovery for CES

The IPC2723 Sync over Packet Engine (SoPE) for CES is optimized for designs required to provide CES standard compliant together with high quality sync over packet.

Comprised of a low-cost industry standard FPGA and a CPU the SoPE is an application-agnostic, cost effective, reliable, and standard compliant synchronization solution for applications requiring high-performance clock synchronization. The IPC2723 implements a state-of-the-art clock-estimation algorithms suite with performance proved to be reaching the theoretical bound. It is specially designed for cost sensitive applications with a need for supporting both existing and next generation designs. The IPC2723 is operating in Slave (Client) mode, recovering the clock source from the incoming CES packet stream. The IPC2723 is designed for easy field upgrades for supporting emerging standards like ITU-T G.8261 and Circuit Emulation protocols as well as next generation networks and technologies.

Typical applications include:

  • Cellular backhauling
  • Cellular IP Base Stations
  • Metro Ethernet
  • GPON
  • IP DSLAM/BLC
  • Circuit Emulation Services (CES)
  • Cable

The IPC102E Evaluation Kit allows testing the IPC2723 functionality in your network.
