IPC100 Evaluation Kit for IEEE1588v2/CES
IPC100

The IPC100 is an easy to use, plug and play evaluation kit for evaluating IPClock’s products. The IPC100 architecture is comprised of three layers.  The first layer is the Operational layer which set the IPC100 to be either IEEE1588v2 Slave or IEEE1588v2 Master or CES clock recovery.

The IPC100 operational mode is set by the downloading the appropriate software. For example, downloading the IPC2713 software to the IPC100 will set its operational mode to IEEE1588v2 Slave over Ethernet while downloading the IPC60000 software will set its operational mode to IEEE1588v2 Master. The second layer is the plug-in module layer. The plug-in module layer includes all the components required for operating the software and to enable clock synchronization. These components include: CPU, FPGA, IPClock approved oscillator, and clock in and clock out interfaces. These components are included in the IPC1 IEEE1588v2 Slave Plug-in Clock Module. The third layer includes all the peripherals to connect the IPC100 to the network and to control it either locally or remotely. This architecture allows using the IPC100 evaluation kit to evaluate the performance and functionality of IPClock’s products. The IPC100 is built for quick and easy setup phase by limiting the number of parameters for configuration to the minimum required. Simply power up the IPC100 and configure it to be either Master or Slave and connect it to your network. No further tuning is required to achieve excellent clock synchronization performance.
