IPC2713 IEEE1588v2 Slave over Ethernet

Clock synchronization is required by many applications.  For example, UMTS requires the synchronization of frequency while LTE, WiMAX, and CDMA2000 require both frequency synchronization and phase alignment. The IPC2713 is implementing IEEE1588v2 Slave Ordinary Clock (OC) optimized for providing high quality frequency synchronization, phase alignment, and Time of Day (ToD) alignment over packet switched networks (PSN).

It is an application-agnostic, cost effective, reliable and standard compliant IEEE1588v2 Slave OC for applications requiring high-performance.  The IPC2713 is utilizing IPClocks innovative Sync over Packet Engine (SoPE), a state-of-the-art clock synchronization algorithms suite and IEEE1588v2 protocol stack.  It is designed to meet stringent PSN inherent impairments with proved excellent clock synchronization performance.  The IPC2713 is supporting both current and next generation applications in need for seamlessly adding clock synchronization over packet. The IPC2713 is an excellent choice for applications requiring synchronization:

  • Cellular Macro/Micro Cells
  • Cellular Pico/Femto Cells
  • Cellular backhauling
  • WiMAX Base Stations
  • Out-of-band clock synchronization for Pseudowire (E1/T1)
  • Backup for GPS
  • DVB-T broadcast base stations
  • DVB-H base stations

The IPC100 Evaluation Kit allows testing the IPC2713 frequency, phase and time synchronization performance in your network.
