Back to Top General Description
The IPC2713 Sync over Packet Engine (SoPE) is optimized for designs required to provide IEEE1588 standard compliant together with high quality sync over packet. Comprised of a low-cost industry standard FPGA and a CPU, the SoPE is an application-agnostic, cost effective, reliable, and standard compliant synchronization solution for applications requiring high-performance clock synchronization. The IPC2713 implements a state-of-the-art clock-estimation algorithms suite with performance proved to be reaching the theoretical bound.  It is specially designed for cost sensitive applications with a need for supporting both existing and next generation designs. The IPC2713 can operate in SLAVE mode, recovering the clock source from the incoming packet stream. The IPC2713 is designed for easy field upgrades supporting the standards like IEEE1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and ITU-T G.8261 as well as next generation networks and technologies.
